Portrait of Terence Sellers by Allan Lewis Kleinberg

No. 28: Terence Sellers (2005)

Terrence Sellers, photo by Allan Lewis Kleinberg

When Terence Sellers left New York in 2005, the fading cultural fabric of our city lost a luminous filament. To any room Terence adds a dark sparkle of glamour. She is a scholar and bibliophile, a diarist, an aesthete, an active player in the rich theater of the underground, and for almost 30 years, she was New York City’s most famous dominatrix.  Photo: Allan Lewis Kleinberg.
